Hey parents,
We are launching a new series for Wednesday Night’s for our students- MADE.

We will be talking about the topic of sex.
When it comes to speaking on a topic like sex, students are already getting
multiple messages about it.
We will not go out of your way to be controversial, use shocking language, or offend students,
but we also don’t need to shy away from or act awkward about the topic.


Students are already hearing about sex, places like . . .
• Teachers
• Music/Movies

• The Internet
• Older siblings

• Parents
• School
• Friends

And it is our heart to discuss sex the way God has created it to be
and how students can leave with a deeper understanding of God’s design for sex.

YouthQuest

YouthQuest Nov 1-2

YouthQuest is a student-based ministry that is an extension of Liberty's Center for Youth Ministries and in partnership with the Liberty Worship Collective. YouthQuest is a traveling team comprised of Discipleship, Creative Arts, and Worship teams. The mission of YouthQuest is “to be a positive extension of the discipleship efforts of the host local church.”

YouthQuest, within the context of the hosting local church, has two primary pillars: personal discipleship and evangelism.  The structure of the weekend encompasses worship, workshops, and activities in an effort to provide spiritual growth.  A D-Now (Discipleship Now) weekend is a Friday through Sunday event to empower the local youth for Christ and encourage the ongoing reflection of their Savior. YouthQuest is committed to humbly serving Christ and carrying out the team’s mission in an attempt to accomplish God’s will in the lives of youth and their leaders.

YOUTHQUEST (YQ) is coming to Franklin NC on Friday November 1 until Saturday November 2 to engage with our students from all our churches. YQ will be set up with their band, classes, games etc. at Windy Gap Baptist Church who is the Host Church this year. The Prayer and Goal of this event is strengthen the spiritual walks of our churches/students, empower students to be able to stand firm in their faith, while having fun with other churches in a safe environment!

The Host Church will feed Dinner on Friday Night, as well as, Lunch and Dinner on Saturday.

Our target age is focused on Middle School and High School.

Churches are asked to provided "HOST HOMES" for your youth group. HOST HOMES are members of your church who will open their home to allow your students to stay over the weekend and host at least 1 Liberty University college student as well. HOST HOMES will feed their group breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings as well as help transport their group to and from the Host Church (Windy Gap Baptist).

WHAT SHOULD I BRING? 

1 outfit (warm outfit), PJ’s, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, money for food (2 meals) and any items at event, swimsuit, jacket (gloves toboggan). Towels are available in the condo.

**Our condo does have a hot tub. So, please pack a swimsuit if your child is interested in going to the hot tub.**

HOW MUCH MONEY WILL I NEED? 

There will be breakfast supplied in the cabin, and also snack foods and drinks. There is free time on Saturday for lunch, so each child will need lunch & supper money and also any money to purchase items at the event if they would like. Here is an idea of the shirt prices: Long sleeve t-shirt, $18, raglan tee, $20, lightweight long sleeve hooded tee $25, hoodie $25. Please note if you/your child needs help with covering meal, just let your teach/chaperone/pastor know and we will be happy to help.

They have received many calls this year regarding security and that is understandable in light of the state of our nation and recent events. They have always had security every year at the event. Some officers in uniform and some plain clothes security. This year we have added additional men to that count. New this year, we ask that no one brings in large bags, purses or backpacks. For Security Purposes any Large Bag or Purse may be subject to search. Any bag left unattended will be confiscated.

Most Snowbird camps and retreats are all-inclusive.  Horseback riding (except during summer) and rafting on the Ocoee River are additional costs to recreation. You may also want to bring money to buy T-shirts, snacks, etc. at the Snack Shack.

• Students and kids need to bring towels, sunscreen, lake shoes to get wet, flip-flops, one-piece bathing suits, shorts, t-shirts, Bibles, Bed linens (or sleeping bags). Bath towels are NOT provided at the camp. Students may also want to bring extra spending money for snacks at the camp Store (t-shirts, CDs, etc.).

We will be traveling to three different homes for a three courses meal! Each course is served at a different home along with a progressive devotional! Please join us for a time of great fun and fellowship!
